HINSDALE COMMUNITY ROWING

Hinsdale Community Rowing is a sculling club for adults and juniors in the Western Chicago suburbs.  HCR has a diverse membership of recreational and competitive scullers.  We welcome all skill levels from the Learn To Row novices to the seasoned Master.

We also are committed to the stewardship of the Des Plaines River. We hold an annual clean-up day to remove plastics & trash from the river.

JUNIOR ROWING
IN HINSDALE!

Hinsdale Community Rowing launched its competitive high school program in Fall 2023, and it has quickly grown into one of the most exciting and competitive junior rowing programs in the region.

Building on early success at the Midwest Junior Rowing Championships in 2024, the team carried that momentum into a standout 2026 season, with strong finishes, advancing boats, and increasing visibility at major regattas. The program continues to gain speed, depth, and recognition.

With a focus on teamwork, skill development, and competitive excellence, Hinsdale’s junior program offers both experienced athletes and newcomers a place to grow. Our Learn-to-Row sessions provide a welcoming entry point, while our competitive teams continue to push forward—making this an exciting time to be part of junior rowing in Hinsdale.
