HINSDALE COMMUNITY ROWING

Hinsdale Community Rowing is a sculling club for adults and juniors in the Western Chicago suburbs. HCR has a diverse membership of recreational and competitive scullers, welcoming every skill level—from complete beginners in our Learn-to-Row program to seasoned Masters athletes. Whether you're returning to the sport after years away or picking up an oar for the first time, you'll find a safe, supportive, and inclusive community on the water.

We are also committed to the stewardship of the Des Plaines River, holding an annual clean-up day to remove plastics and trash from the river.

JUNIOR ROWING
IN HINSDALE!

Hinsdale Community Rowing's competitive high school program has quickly grown into one of the most exciting and competitive junior rowing programs in the region.

Building on strong results at the Midwest Junior Rowing Championships, the team continues to carry that momentum forward, with strong finishes, advancing boats, and increasing visibility at major regattas. The program continues to gain speed, depth, and recognition.

With a focus on teamwork, skill development, and competitive excellence, Hinsdale's junior program offers both experienced athletes and newcomers a place to grow. Our Learn-to-Row sessions provide a welcoming entry point, while our competitive teams continue to push forward—making this an exciting time to be part of junior rowing in Hinsdale.
