Hinsdale Rowing Club is offering private sculling lessons in the summer and fall of 2023. Each lesson costs $50 and will last 1.5 hours. You may purchase up to 5 lessons at a time. The lessons do not expire. The student will be matched with an instructor and a date & time for the lesson will be arranged between the rower and instructor. On average, it takes a person with no rowing experience  4 hours of instruction to feel comfortable in a recreational rowing shell. Individuals who successfully complete sculling lessons may be invited to join the sweep team. 

We only offer lessons to individuals over the age of 18. Lessons may be purchased as a gift. All participants must be comfortable on the water and  must be able to swim and tread water for no less than 10 minutes. Lessons cancelled with an unreasonable amount of notice to the instructor shall be forfeited.
